Founder’s Hour

One lesson · Key Stage 4 and 5 · students work solo

Found a café and survive its first year. Students make the opening decisions, defend each one in writing, and get pushed back on by Vic, the mentor in the game. You mark the writing; the game does not put a grade on anyone.

It runs about an hour and it fills a lesson on its own. There is a class dashboard so you can see every student’s decisions and writing as they go.

It has been run with real classes. One pilot hit slow responses when a whole class typed at once, which we have worked on since. Worth knowing before you book a lesson round it.

Market Simulation Studio

You build it · any level · students play in groups

Build your own market simulation for your class without writing anything technical. Start from one that already works, change the products, the customers and the numbers, and run it. Every copy is yours to change and the original is never touched.

Use it for a market you actually teach, or for the local businesses your students know.
