What is inside
One original, fictional UK case for three 55-minute lessons plus named homework; every plan adds up to 55 minutes of task time. A sole-trader mobile dog groomer and her 18-year-old assistant deal with the personal finance sector.
Learners match financial institutions to needs and compare ways of reaching them, decide which regulator or scheme helps in three situations and work out what a complaint or a loan is worth, then use information, guidance and advice sources, compare insurance quotes as a price comparison website would, compare an IVA with bankruptcy in pence in the pound, and recommend a way forward in about 120 to 160 words.
Every rate is invented. It is a teaching case, not financial advice.
- Lesson1
Where could the money go, and how would Nadia reach it?
Nine types of institution, matching needs to organisations, channels and customers, the time cost of a branch trip, interest at four invented savers.
- Lesson2
When something goes wrong, who protects customers?
Regulators and schemes from memory, role cards, three situations, complaint value and loan cost, a reply to an 18-year-old.
- Lesson3
Nadia is in debt. Where can she turn?
Six sources of information and advice, a surplus and months to clear, four insurance quotes compared, IVA against bankruptcy in pence in the pound, a 120 to 160-word recommendation.

Questions
What exactly do I get?
A learner workbook and a teacher guide for one original, fictional case. Both come as PDF and as editable Word files. The teacher guide has the lesson plans, full worked answers, completed diagrams and indicative guidance for the written tasks.
Can I edit the files?
Yes. The Word files are editable, so you can change the business name, the figures or the questions before you set it. They were laid out and checked in LibreOffice, not Microsoft Word, so you may see small layout differences in Word; the PDF is the reference layout. The download is a ZIP that opens on Windows and Mac without extra software.
Is it a mark scheme, and is it endorsed?
No to both. The teacher guide gives full answers for calculations and tables, and indicative guidance plus an example answer for each written task. It is not an exam board mark scheme, and the pack awards no marks or grades. It is mapped to the specification by section but is not endorsed by Pearson, and contains no exam board questions.
How does delivery work?
After payment you are sent straight to your download page and get a Stripe receipt by email. The download page is personal to your purchase; bookmark it.
What if something is wrong with my order?
Email support@thebusiness.school. The refund policy covers duplicate charges, files you cannot open and products that do not match their description.
