This policy covers the thebusiness.school website. For what the classroom simulation processes about a student, see data protection.
What we collect, and why
- Forms you send us. The waitlist and contact forms collect what you type into them: typically your name, school email, role and school. We use it to reply and to manage the pilot waitlist. Forms are processed by Netlify, our hosting provider.
- Purchases. Paid products are sold through a checkout provider (Gumroad). They process the payment; we never see your card details. We receive your email address and order details so we can deliver the product and honour the refund policy.
- Email. If you email us, we keep the correspondence so we can help you.
What we do not do
- No advertising trackers and no selling of personal data, to anyone, ever.
- Students never sign up on this website. They join a session at play.thebusiness.school with a PIN and a nickname they choose.
- No marketing emails unless you explicitly asked for them.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you. Email support@thebusiness.school and we will act on it. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (we are registered under ICO ZC133810) or to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman.
Where data lives
The website is hosted by Netlify. Form submissions are stored in Netlify's systems. Purchase records are held by the checkout provider. Waitlist and enquiry form data is kept for 24 months. Student data and game states are deleted after 30 days.
