An evaluation pack for A Level Business. Three model answers in which every single sentence is tagged for what it earns, and why.
The first version wrote the Edexcel 20 mark question in the older single proposition form. Pearson now sets it as two named options with a recommendation, so that question and its marked answer have been rewritten.
It also claimed a seven sentence answer reaches the same band as an eighteen sentence one. Both boards require range and development for the top band, so that claim is gone. The four assessment objectives and every calculation in it were checked and were already correct.

Join the free group →Most model answers are handed out whole and students are told they are good. That teaches very little, because the student cannot see which part did the work. Here every model answer is broken into numbered sentences and each sentence carries a tag saying what it earns, plus a line saying why. Students can see that one sentence earns nothing, another carries analysis, and one particular sentence is the one that lifts the whole answer.
A long one written to the AQA essay form, a second written to the current Edexcel two option form, and a short one in seven sentences with no padding anywhere in it.
Annotated, then rewritten on the board one sentence at a time. Seven sentences in, six out, and every surviving sentence now carries a figure, a consequence or a judgement.

Written for AQA 7132 and Edexcel 9BS0, with a section on AQA 7138 for a Year 12 starting September 2026 or later. Model answer 1 and the short model are written to the AQA 25 mark essay form. Model answer 2 is written to the Edexcel 20 mark two option form, using the same business so students carry the context across both.
The pack now names its sources. Each question carries the specification and the mark scheme it was written against, listed in the table at the back, and every level description quoted is quoted from the board rather than paraphrased. Check yours before you use it: tariffs and descriptors differ between boards and they move.
