Kestria's economy was growing steadily until the gas price more than doubled. Students use a data pack to measure the damage, explain the shock with AD and AS diagrams, compare interest rates with fiscal support, and write an extended evaluation. Four lessons for Edexcel A level Economics, with completed diagrams and full answers.
What is inside
One original, fictional economy for four lessons of about 55 minutes with Year 12 or 13. Kestria grew steadily until the world gas price more than doubled.
Students work from a three-page data pack to measure the damage (growth, CPI inflation, survey and claimant unemployment, under-employment, the current account), explain the cost-push shock and the fall in demand that follows with AD/AS diagrams and the multiplier, compare a rise in interest rates with targeted fiscal support (card sort, forecast calculations, a short-run Phillips plot), then plan an extended evaluation of about 250 words, write it and check it against a success checklist.
Each lesson plan counts the written work against the minutes, and the few questions that do not fit (in Lessons 1 and 2) are named as homework.
- Lesson1
How is Kestria performing?
Starter, pair data hunt, nine calculations from the data pack, a 60-word performance judgement, exit ticket.
- Lesson2
What happened, and why?
AD components starter, shift-or-movement table, a supply-shock diagram to complete, second-round AD diagram, output gap, the multiplier, exit ticket.
- Lesson3
What are the options?
Objectives scorecard, Extract D with Year 7 forecasts, a 12-card monetary-or-fiscal sort, forecast calculations, a short-run Phillips plot.
- Lesson4
What should Kestria do?
AD/AS diagrams for both options, a planning frame, a 250-word extended evaluation and a success-checklist self-check.

Questions
What exactly do I get?
A student workbook and a teacher guide for one original, fictional case. Both come as PDF and as editable Word files. The teacher guide has the lesson plans, full worked answers, completed diagrams and indicative guidance for the written tasks.
Can I edit the files?
Yes. The Word files are editable, so you can change the business name, the figures or the questions before you set it. They were laid out and checked in LibreOffice, not Microsoft Word, so you may see small layout differences in Word; the PDF is the reference layout. The download is a ZIP that opens on Windows and Mac without extra software.
Is it a mark scheme, and is it endorsed?
No to both. The teacher guide gives full answers for calculations and tables, and indicative guidance plus an example answer for each written task. It is not an exam board mark scheme, and the pack awards no marks or grades. It is mapped to the specification by section but is not endorsed by Pearson, and contains no exam board questions.
How does delivery work?
After payment you are sent straight to your download page and get a Stripe receipt by email. The download page is personal to your purchase; bookmark it.
